Objective

The objective of Where’s My Water? is to get marbles to fall onto your side of the board to collect three cards before the other player.

Setup

  • Attach the gameboard to the frame. Snap the four funnels to the top of the frame.
  • Snap the slider and hinge together. Attach the slider to the frame. Snap Swampy onto the slider.
  • Place the cover on top of the slider.
  • Attach the back panel to the frame so the board sits up by itself.
  • Place the tub and shower head onto the bottom of the frame.
  • Choose which side of the tub belongs to each player.
  • Shuffle the cards and place them face down on the table. If you want an easier game, you should remove the harder level cards (has more ducks pictured on the bottom of the card).
  • Each player takes five blue marbles.

Each round begins with the top card being turned face up. The card pictures the gameboard. You will assemble the obstacles on the board corresponding to the picture on the card that was flipped over. Behind each duck obstacle you should place a yellow marble. For each poison obstacle (skull), you will place a purple marble.

Setting up the board for a round
The card for the current round has been selected. The players assemble the board to match the picture on the card.

If a card features a gear symbol on it, you can setup the board however you want.

Gear card
For this round the players can assemble the board however they want using the items shown on this card.

How to Play Where’s My Water?

To begin each of your turns you will slide Swampy towards your side of the tube. This opens up the path so any marbles that fall during your turn end up on your side of the tub.

You will then choose one of your blue marbles to drop down the gameboard. You can choose any of the four funnels at the top of the board to drop your marble down. When you drop a marble you are trying to hit the yellow marbles or any blue marbles stuck on the board. You should also try to avoid the purple marbles.

Choosing where to drop the marble
The current player has decided to drop their marble in the second funnel from the left. They will score points for any marbles that reach the bottom of the board.

Once you drop the marble it will bounce down the board and possibly knock some marbles down the board. You should make sure not to touch or shake the gameboard as that may have an impact on how the marbles roll.

After you drop one of your blue marbles and all marbles on the board have stopped moving, your turn ends. Play passes to the other player.

Scoring

After both players have dropped all five of their blue marbles, the current round ends. Players will gather up the marbles from their side of the tub. They will score points from them as follows:

  • Blue Marble: +1 Point
  • Yellow Marble: +1 Point
  • Purple Marble: -1 Point

The player that scores the most points takes the card used in the round. If there is a tie, you will play another round using the same card.

Scoring the marbles at the end of a round in Where's My Water?
At the end of this round the players acquired the following marbles. The left player has four blue, two yellow, and two purple marbles. The left player scores a total of four points. The right player collected five blue and one yellow marble. They score six points. The right player scored more points so they won the round and take the card.

You will then start another round by drawing a new card and setting up the board. Each player gets five blue marbles for the next round.

Winning the Game

The first player to collect three cards wins the game.

Winning the game after collecting three cards
This player has collected three cards. They have won the game.

Solo Game

The solo game is played mostly the same as the normal game. The player gets to use all ten blue marbles on their turn though.

The objective of each card is to collect all three yellow marbles by knocking them into the tub. For each card where you collect all three yellow marbles, you will keep the card. Any card where you are unable to collect three yellow marbles before you run out of blue marbles, is discarded. You are trying to collect as many of the cards as you can.
