There have been a few different UNO Batman games released over the years. Each of these versions of the game have different rules and a unique card. This post is for the 2024 version of the game that was made to celebrate the 85th anniversary of Batman.

Objective
The objective of UNO Batman 2024 is to be the first player to get rid of all of the cards from your hand.
Setup
- Choose a player to be the dealer. The dealer shuffles the cards and deals seven to each player.
- After dealing the cards, they will place the remaining cards facedown on the table to form the Draw Pile.
- Turn over the top card from the Draw Pile to form the Discard Pile. Should you flip over an Action card (anything other than a number card), you will ignore its effect and flip over another card.
- The player to the left of the dealer starts the game. Play moves clockwise to start the game.
How to Play UNO Batman 2024
The objective of each of your turns is to find a card from your hand to play to the Discard Pile. To play a card it has to match one of the attributes of the top card on the Discard Pile. There are three attributes that a card can match.
- Color
- Number
- Symbol
If you have a card that matches one or more of the attributes of the top card, you can play it to the Discard Pile. You can only play one card each turn. Should you play an Action card (any card that isn’t a number) you will take a special action. See our UNO Batman 2024 Card Meanings post for details on what every card does.
Should you have a matching card in your hand, you can choose not to play it. If you choose not to play a card, you will treat the rest of your turn like you didn’t have a card that you could play. You will not be able to play the card later on your turn should you change your mind.
After you have played a card, your turn ends. Play passes to the next player in turn order.
Drawing a Card
If you do not have a card that you can play or you choose not to play one, you will draw the top card from the Draw Pile. Look at the card that you just drew. If the card matches one of the attributes, you can play it immediately. If the card can’t be played (or you choose not to play it), you will add the card to your hand.
Should the Draw Pile ever run out of cards, you will shuffle the Discard Pile in order to create a new Draw Pile.
Once you draw a card and either play it or add it to your hand, your turn ends. Play passes to the next player in turn order.
Calling UNO
When you only have one card left in your hand, you should call out “UNO”. By saying UNO you let the other players know that you are close to winning the game.
Should you not say UNO and another player catches you, you will have to draw two cards. They must call you out before the next player begins their turn.
Winning the Game
The first player to play all of the cards from their hand wins UNO Batman 2024.
Scoring
If you would like to play multiple hands and want a way to determine the ultimate winner, you can choose to keep score.
A round ends when a player plays the last card from their hand. They will collect all of the cards left in the other players’ hands. The rules do not specifically say what happens when the last card forces a player to draw cards. The normal UNO rules for this situation is to have the player draw the cards before the winner collects all of the cards.
The winner scores points for each card that they collect as follows:
- Number cards – face value
- Draw Two, Reverse, Skip – 20 points each
- Wild, Wild Bat Signal, Wild Draw Four – 50 points each
Record the points earned by the winner. If the winner has not accumulated a total of 500 or more points in the game, play another round. The first player to score 500 or more total points wins the game.
