Objective

The objective of Disney Presents Follow That Mouse is to be the first player to fill in all of the spaces on your gameboard.

Setup

Assembling the Player Boards

You will assemble a gameboard for each player. To assemble a board you need an A leg, a B leg, a top board, and a bottom board.

First attach the A and B legs together in the slots on both pieces. They should make an X when connected.

Attaching the player board legs

Next you will place the bottom board on the two legs. The side you place face up depends on which version of the game you are playing. If you are playing the basic game, you will place the color side face up. If you are playing the challenge game, you will place the scene side up.

Assembling the player board for the challenge mode
The players are playing the challenge mode so the scene side of the bottom board is placed face up.

Finally place one of the top boards on top of the bottom board. If you are playing the basic game, it doesn’t matter which top board you use. If you are playing the challenge game, you will use the top board that matches the bottom board.

Setting Up the Game

  • Each player chooses a board and places it in front of them. Any unused boards are set aside.
  • Place the main gameboard in the middle of the table. Spread the tokens facedown on the board so you can’t see the colors.
  • You will have to choose whether you will play the basic or challenge game. See the corresponding section below for details on how to play both versions of the game.
  • The youngest player starts the game. Play passes left throughout the game.

How to Play Disney Presents Follow That Mouse

Basic Game

On your turn you will choose one of the tokens from the center gameboard. You can choose any token no matter what side of the token is face up.

Choosing a token
This player chose one of the circle tokens from the board. Since it is purple, it matches the purple circle space on their player board.

Should your chosen token match the color and shape of one of the spaces on your board, you will place it in the corresponding spot on your board. If the corresponding space is already filled in, you won’t take the token.

Placing a correct color token on your player board
Since the purple circle matched one of the spots on their board, the player places it in the corresponding spot.

If the token does not match both the color and shape of one of your empty spaces, you will return it to the center gameboard. You will place it so the color side is visible on the board.

Choosing a wrong color token
For their second turn this player turned over a blue triangle. The token does not match any of the spaces on their board. They will place the token face up on the center gameboard.

Whether you picked a matching token or not, your turn ends. The player to your left then takes their turn.

Challenge Game

In this game each player is trying to find tokens that match the pictures shown on their card. Each board features rides from different lands in Disney World.

On your turn you will choose one of the tokens from the center gameboard.

Finding a token with a matching picture
This player drew a token that has the Jungle Cruise on it. This matches one of the spaces on their board.

If the picture on the chosen token matches the picture on one of the spaces on your gameboard, you will place the token in the corresponding spot on your board.

Placing a correct picture on your player board
Since the Jungle Cruise was on this player’s board, they will place the token on the corresponding spot.

If the picture does not match any of the spaces on your board, you will return it to the center gameboard. You will place it so the picture side is facedown.

Picking a token that does not have matching picture
For their second turn this player drew the Country Bear Jamboree token. As this isn’t on their player board, they will return it to the center board. They will place it so the picture is no longer visible.

In either case your turn ends. The player to your left takes the next turn.

Winning the Game

The first player to fill in all six spots on their gameboard wins the game.

Winning Disney Presents Follow That Mouse
This player has filled in all of the spots on their player board. They have won the game.
