Objective
The objective of Dino Crunch is to collect eggs and not be attacked by the dinosaur.
Setup
- Insert two AA batteries into the battery compartment.
- Attach the feet of the dinosaur to the dino nest base.
- Lift up the leaf on the base and place the eggs inside.
- Push back on the dino until it locks into position.
- Turn the switch on the bottom of the base to the ON position.
- The youngest player starts the game. Play passes left throughout the game.
How to Play Dino Crunch
You will begin your turn by rolling the die. What you roll on the die determines what you will do on your turn.
If you roll any of the single color sides, you will take a dino egg from the nest matching the color that you rolled.
Should you roll the “X”, you will skip the rest of your turn.
Finally if you roll the side with four colors on it, you can choose to take an egg of any color from the nest.
After you complete the action corresponding to what you rolled, your turn ends. Play passes to the player on your left.
Taking an Egg
If you roll a single color side or the multi-color side, you will have to take one egg from the nest.
Carefully lift up the leaf so you don’t alert the dinosaur. If you lift it up too hard, it may make the dinosaur attack. Use the tweezers in order to grab an egg that matches the color you rolled.
If you remove an egg and the dinosaur doesn’t attack, you keep the egg for the rest of the game.
Should the dino attack during your turn, you are eliminated from the game.
Winning the Game
There are two ways of playing Dino Crunch.
The main way of playing the game is to keep playing after the dino attacks a player. When a dino attacks a player, they are eliminated from the game. The remaining players keep playing until only one player remains. Reset the dino by pressing back on its body. The last remaining player wins the game.
The other way of playing the game involves the game ending when one player is attacked. The remaining players count up how many eggs they collected during the game. The player that collects the most eggs, wins the game.
