Set up
In this game there are five players. You will set out the blue, pink, yellow, and green card mats and place one card on each.

How to Play Dan and Phil’s Truth Bombs

Each player looks at the name in the target section of the answer sheet they currently have. This is the player you will answer a question about.

Look at all of the questions in the middle of the table. Choose one of the questions that an answer has not already been provided for. Think about the player whose name is on the answer sheet. Write down how you would answer the question with regards to the player in the corresponding section of the answer sheet. For example you have decided to answer the green question. Write your answer down in the green section of the answer sheet.

Answering a question
The player who has John’s sheet decided to answer what they think is John’s greatest fear. They wrote down clowns.

Once you have written down an answer, pass the answer sheet to the player on your left. Once everyone has passed their answer sheet, each player picks up their new sheet. They will look at the player whose name is written on the sheet, and choose one of the questions that haven’t been answered yet. You will answer the question in the corresponding section of the answer sheet.

Players will keep passing the sheets and answering the questions until all of the spaces on the answer sheet have been filled in. When each player writes down an answer to the final question on their sheet, they place the sheet face down in front of themselves.

Revealing the Answers

One of the players chooses to start by reading off the name at the top of the answer sheet in front of them. They will then read off each of the questions and the corresponding answer that was written on the answer sheet.

After all of the questions and answers have been read off, the player whose name was written on the sheet gets to choose which answer they thought was the best. They can choose the best answer by whatever criteria they want. They can pick the one they thought was funniest, which was the most creative, which one was the most accurate, or any criteria they want to use.

After they choose the best answer, they guess which of the players they think wrote down the answer. The player who wrote down the answer then reveals themselves. Players will then score points.

Picking the best answer
All of the players have answered one of the questions about John. John has to pick which of the answers they think is best.

The player that wrote down the answer that the target liked the most, scores one point. If the target correctly guessed who wrote the answer, the target also scores one point. Fill in spaces on the score pad corresponding to the number of points earned.

Scoring points by giving the best answer and guessing who gave it
Sarah wrote down the answer that John liked the most. John also successfully guessed that Sarah wrote it down. Both players score one point.

The next player then reveals the target of their answer sheet and the answers written on it. Players score points in the same way as the first answer sheet. This continues until all of the answer sheets have been revealed and points have been scored.

Winning Dan and Phil’s Truth Bombs

The game ends after all of the answer sheets have been revealed. The player that scores the most points wins the game.

Winning Dan and Phil's Truth Bombs
Sarah scored the most points, so they have won the game.

If there is a tie for most points, draw one additional question card. All of the tied players answer the question about themselves. The rest of the players then vote for which of the players dropped the best truth bomb on themselves. The player that receives the most votes, wins the game.
